You are responsible for ensuring that all shipment-related information provided to us is accurate, complete, and lawful, including:

  • Goods description
  • Quantity and packaging
  • Weight and dimensions

You are responsible for complying with all applicable import and export laws, customs rules, and product restrictions. Even where we provide DDP support or customs-related assistance, you remain responsible for providing truthful, complete, and compliant shipment documentation.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse, suspend, or terminate any service request or shipment for commercial, legal, operational, or compliance-related reasons.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlueBridge shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

If BlueBridge is found liable, our total liability shall be determined in accordance with the applicable shipment contract, carrier conditions, service confirmation, or mandatory law. For cargo without declared value coverage, compensation limits will generally follow carrier liability rules, for example, 2 SDR per kilogram or 666.67 SDR per shipment, whichever is lower, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

8.4 Cargo Inspection and Burden of Proof

8.4.1 Immediate Inspection Obligation: The consignee must inspect the cargo and packaging at the time of delivery. If any visible damage, shortage, or abnormality is found, the consignee must immediately note the issue on the carrier’s delivery record or receipt and retain photo or video evidence wherever possible. Failure to raise any objection at the time of signing shall be deemed acceptance of the cargo in apparently good condition.

8.4.2 Concealed Damage: For internal damage that could not reasonably be identified during delivery inspection ("concealed damage"), the consignee must notify BlueBridge in writing within 7 days after receipt and provide:

  • Full unpacking photos or video evidence
  • A damage assessment report from an independent inspection body, if applicable
  • Reasonable evidence showing the cargo was in good condition before handover for transport

8.4.3 Burden of Proof: The consignor and/or consignee must first provide reasonable evidence showing that the damage or shortage may have occurred during transportation. BlueBridge may assist by providing relevant transport records where available.

9. Claim Time Limits

  • Visible inspection at delivery: If visible damage or shortage is found, it must be noted upon receipt and reported to us in writing within 24 hours after signing.
  • Concealed damage: Internal damage discovered after delivery must be reported in writing within 7 days after signing, together with relevant evidence such as photos or unpacking videos.
  • Formal claim: Any formal claim must be submitted in writing within 14 business days from the date the cargo was delivered or should reasonably have been delivered. Claims submitted after this period may be rejected.

10. Force Majeure

BlueBridge shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to war, civil unrest, strikes, government action, natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, port congestion, flight or vessel cancellations, fuel shortages, cyber attacks, or similar force majeure events. We will make reasonable efforts to notify customers and seek practical solutions where possible.

11. Third-Party Carriers and Agents

Some services may be performed by third-party carriers, airlines, shipping lines, courier companies, customs brokers, warehouses, and other agents. In addition to these Terms, the conditions, limitations, and operational rules of such third parties may also apply.

12. Payment

All charges, including freight, surcharges, taxes, duties, storage fees, inspection fees, remote area delivery fees, and all other applicable costs, must be paid in accordance with the agreed payment terms. We reserve the right to suspend delivery, release, or further service until outstanding amounts are fully settled.

The revised Terms will take effect from the date of publication, and your continued use of our services will be deemed acceptance of such revisions.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of China.

15.2 Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly consultation. If no resolution is reached, either party may submit the dispute to the Shanghai Maritime Court for litigation.
